Before becoming an early years professional, Claire worked for the Press Office of a large company for 8 years and then as a PA for Standard Life. During a career break to raise her own family she helped at her local nursery. Enjoying the challenges of this experience she decided to retrain as a professional child care worker. Claire's positive outlook on life and cheerful personality helps young children to feel happy and settled in the nursery.

Tracy: Nursery Manager

SVQ4 in Play work
Tracy has worked with Temple Nursery for over 6 years and her contribution to this organisation has proved invaluable. She has a determination and work ethic beyond her years and has shown great initiative while managing the nursery. She is imaginative, lively and enthusiastic and continues to encourage all ages through play. Tracy is also Manager of the After School Club in Rosewell where she works with children aged 5 to 14 years.

Barbara: Teacher
Qualifications: Post Graduate Certificate of Education
OCN Level 3 Forest School Practitioner Award
Barbara gained her Post Graduate Certificate of Education in July 1990 and spent the following eight years teaching primary school children in London. In 1999 she moved to Scotland and since then has worked in nurseries. For the last four years she has been employed as the teacher at Temple Nursery which, she says, is unquestionably the best nursery with which she has been involved. Barbara is a qualified Forest School leader (OCN Level 3 Forest School Practitioner Award) and has a unique and inspiring teaching style.
